There are microfiber towels, feather dusters, 3M tacky sheets, and more options. But I gotta ask: how are YOU dusting?
Very sparingly.
It just doesnt stop. I admittedly dont dust everyday but the buildup is rapid and everywhere.
Every fucking day!!?? Who the hell has time for that?
Most dust is skin cells and some people are flaky.
Not me.
Infrequently.
Oof I should really be dusting
God, and here I thought “dusting” was a euphemism for something naughty lol
Mostly vacuum with dusting attachment and some Swifter duster thingies! A wet cloth also does a good job depending on the surface.
Feather dusters for most things. The less microfiber in my laundry the better. I do use the goop stuff though for hard to dust spots in my car.
Dusting…
The action of putting sugar on pastries
Oh, and turning gray furniture black again.
Confectioners sugar! Ah yes! I just use the sifty thing in the drawer. The one with the handle that you turn. Makes those Saturday morning strawberry crepes super fancy like. 💜
I’m a bit ashamed to say, but I haven’t dusted my room in weeks… I need to and I want to. But I always get distracted, forget and then say “I’ll get to it another day” once I remember.
My desk has a thin dust layer just chilling.
I don’t know why this and just tiding my desk in general is so difficult. Sorting papers and dusting are the two cleaning tasks I’m terrible with. No food or plates etc though. Just papers and dust
As a gamer, I have invested a fair amount into my computer system. This in turn has made me pretty much a dust hater because it’s a huge enemy to the life of a good computer. I am careful to keep it off the floor, and try to keep dust in the house to a minimum, which is kind of annoyingly difficult sometimes especially in summer when I like to have open windows to enjoy fresh air and find that every neighbor within 10 miles is busy doing remodeling, or mowing the lawn, or chopping whatever… Sometimes I can dust at 10 am on Sunday and at 6 am on Monday it looks like I didn’t do it at all…arrrg! I mostly use microfiber cloth with mist cleaner, and running a small air purifier in the house does help me keep it down to manageable levels most of the time.
Swiffer dusters. I’m one of the many “allergic to dust” folks. I know it’s dust mites, whatevs. I’m not normally into disposable things, but it works. Once a week in the main areas of the house, but if I focus on a room that I don’t hit once a week, I’ll dust then. Swiffer dusters grab the dirt fast so one swipe is all it takes. It doesn’t just push the dust around or stir it up into the air. I find it takes me about 2 minutes to dust the main areas of the house (flat surfaces only). It’s weirdly fun so I dust more than I did before.
I already replied, but I wanted to say that if you’re allergic to dust mites and don’t dust frequently, wear your covid mask and you will avoid most headaches. Learn from my pain.
…guess I gotta start dusting. =/
My hands, mostly. A damp washcloth when putting in some effort.
Swiffer every couple weeks or whenever I notice dust building up. I like that it doesn’t just move it around or kick it back into the air. Takes about 10 minutes to swipe over all the solid surfaces. I couldn’t imagine taking more time.
A few years back I found a reusable Swiffer style duster at Ikea and it is still working pretty well for me on the rare occasion I think to actually dust.
I use a long duster on a stick, like a big fluffy cat tail. It’s made of microfibre fluff, works really well dusting my computer and office area. I do it once or twice a week, when I need to procrastinate.
And as a bonus to clean it I get to beat the hell out it against a brick wall on my patio. Good stress relief, dusting haha
Twice a year at best, with a swiffer duster.
