It certainly is true, Microsoft has been dominating office and home space for a very long time, often even doing thinks like allowing Windows piracy in eastern Europe and Asia just so they use Windows too and don’t start using their own alternative like Linux.

Although, nowdays Windows have become enshittified, Linux has become user-friendly and Steam Deck has promoted Linux use for gaming and desktop, so it’s slowly changing. MacOS also had a solid second position for more than a decade.
