It’s Thanksgiving weekend!

I just finished Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, the game is really good. I liked the court room sections a lot more than investigation parts. Both were pretty fun though. To rate the best case, I would go with Episode 4 (Lake Gourd), Episode 3 (Steel Samurai) was more “fun” but Episode 4 was more intense, and overall much better, I think.

Still playing Nioh on PS5. The game has started to feel a bit repetitive. Similar looking areas with pretty much same enemies repeating. Unlike Demon’s Souls where each region / world was completely different biome with different enemies. Still enjoying it while playing, but don’t feel too much like starting it. So, not sure if I’ll finish it or not.

I wanted to start Super Mario RPG next, but ended up spending my gaming money somewhere else, so went through my backlog and started Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1. The game has some fanservice, but I am liking the 4th wall breaking humour.

What about all of you? What have you been playing? or are you taking a break from gaming and spending all time with family this weekend?

Nor am I. Last time I got into any of them was when I enjoyed playing Splatoon 2 for a bit. Unfortunately the matching was really bad when I played, and the disconnections were worse. So you’d get people - probably little kids - on your team who wouldn’t play as a team, then one would get disconnected and you’d have zero chace of winning. Even playing my absolute best wasn’t enough in those situations. Heck, even if I were matched with all adults, that single disconnect would screw everyone.

I found that ultimately it wasn’t fun. No idea if any of that improved over time or if Splatoon 3 was any better. I am now, and always have been, a much bigger fan of single player experiences.

I think Nintendo games in general have bad reputation for their network code. I don’t play online much so can’t compare, but have seen people regularly complaining about Splatoon, Smash and Mario Kart online issues.
