    Oh, really? The public is too stupid to understand that the bros with a gun and a power fetish should be held to a higher standard and should actually respect people’s rights, instead of this bullshit where they get indemnity and “paid administrative leave” for hurting people?

    Fuck that lawyer. He could have kept it simple with “no comment,” but instead, he’s going to punch down on the victims.

    “We did nothing wrong! Also, we’ve changed everything about how we respond to protesters, and we’ve paid out millions of dollars to settle civil suits. BUT WE DID NOTHING WRONG! Prosecuting cops for things we admit we did and have agreed to stop doing is politically motivated harassment (that worked because we changed, promise) and we are owed compensation for all of the scrutiny we faced as a result of our actions.”
