I just found about this distro, which is relatively new (2021). Its specificity is that it doesn’t features any GNU software by default, which I find interesting.

    Maybe not. The core motivation of the project is not licenses.

    Presumably, GNU make was kept for technical reasons. Presumably building the universe of Linux software is going to go more smoothly with GNU make. Which make you use does not impact the resulting system like MUSL or Clang does.
