Literally death itself: “I’m baby.”
Also Jesus christ the fucking dogs in this show, homie of mine warned me about it but goddamn it doesn’t end
Araki has a recurring bit about villains doing awful things to dogs to show how depraved they are. Kars is the only villain I believe that doesn’t and instead actively saves a dog from being run over by a drunk driver by slicing off his forearms.
Kars did nothing wrong. He killed nazis. I figured the people they belonged to in prehistoric times were bigots, you just hear their history from the narrator, who also said Stroheim died an honorable death at Stalingrad, dude was literally SS. Kars is also hot
Nowadays Araki supports teenagers killing cops lol. Jojo is truly Bizarre
Araki is doing advanced dialectics
Araki has been cool about cops for a while, shows them as useless in Phantom Blood and in Battle Tendencies Joseph shoots the fingers off of an aggresively porcine-shaped cop with a coke bottle cap. In Golden Wind they’re depicted as all corrupt and in the pocket of the mob.
death at Stalingrad
[Field Marshall Zhukov has entered the chat.]
STANDO: Stalingrado!!!
araki just completely stopped doing it after part 4 iirc. someone made a chart measuring dead dogs, and parts 1-4 are full of them and then nothing
Gotcha, I only watched half of part 5 and have never actually gone through the manga.
Ahhhh makes sense. My friend described it as “yeah its just kind of a meme, if you see a dog in Jojo then it isn’t long for this world”
He was already doing that shit before Jojo: https://youtu.be/rCVw8Z_t7C8?si=tFMDUBCBEBY58K-H&t=105 (CW: the villains shooting a bunch of dogs)
“I’m in danger.”
Joseph is best JoJo.
I wish he had a shirtless scene, the skin tight outfits were nice but clearly not enough
I like that each season has nothing to do with each others
And just completely unique.
Jojo basically got me into anime. Also as someone that was into Yes before I saw the show, Roundabout being the ending theme was fantastic.
IMO S2 is the peak. It’s the one that feels most like a globe-spanning adventure, which was super cool. S3 is also good in that regard, but Jotaro just isn’t as good as Joseph imo.
