At this point you’ve heard a lot about Plasma 6, and each of my weekly “This week in KDE” brings news of a few new features, UI changes, or bugfixes that are only in Plasma 6. But how do we get there, and how long will it take?
It’s nice to see where there’re at and have a bit of background about the process.

The developers release a new plasma version every 4 months, Plasma 5.27 has been released in February.
They will not release a 5.28 (June) since they are working on the next major release. They intend to release Plasma 6 when 5.29 should have been, October 2023.
Here[1] you can find more information on their schedule.
