I’ve only ever seen the pilot, which was made a few years before the rest of the show and it was just called Kids Show. It became the first episode of the show. I don’t know why I’ve never gotten around to seeing the others. The pilot had me on the floor.

That is tremendous news my friend, because that means you get to have the gift of watching Wonder Showzen for the first time! You don’t yet realize the blessing before you!

If you’re 420-friendly, I highly recommending pairing consumption with the show ✌️

A valid reason, to be sure. But as an added bonus, the satire of kid’s shows will probably hit you even harder due to your closer proximity to kid’s media, whenever you do get around to it ✌️

“So we’ve tried to occupy wall St, but how about we just burn it down instead?”

(But actually what would work is burning the rich’s homes down with them inside instead.)

I disagree with all forms of violence though I will point out that the rich are unnecessarily cruel to the general population.

I used to think that too but at least historicaly, if the problem is the system itself then there are no ways to solve the problem from within the system. see French revolution. The problems of feudalism couldn’t have been solved by following the law. I am not calling for violence or anything like that. Just pointing out it hasn’t been that simple, just categorically opposing any form of violence, throughout history. If the current system continues on its trajectory, soon there won’t be anything legal left for the masses to do. So not “it should happen” but “it will inevitably happen”, it being violent revolution.

social democracies are trying to slowly adapt the situation, let’s hope it will be enough.

There’s a wall already in Wall Street, so just line them against the wall.

Yeah I find it very funny to hear people talk about eating the rich and all that because honestly, it’s political right that’s closest to a “new French Revolution”, the left is way too peaceful to do anything like it these days… In North America anyway.

Step One is to help both sides realize that “left” nor “right” are worthwhile distinctions. It’s haves and have-nots. Everything else is distraction to pit us against each other.

Ah, Wonder Showzen! This was a great off-the-wall comedy sketch bit from people who were probably huffing paint in the writers’ room. I don’t know if it lasted more than one season and I can’t be bothered to check. It has a real The State or Mr Show vibe in that it was uncomfortably ahead of its time. The State was a lot less uncomfortable. Mr Show was uncomfortable for less offensive reasons. But I’d call them all completely original. (Nothing is original, I know…)

Loved Wonder Showzen though I never got to see it when it first aired. Really irreverent and crazy stuff. I loved the “Horse Apples” episode with no pretense of not making fun of rednecks and going as far as possible into tasteless territory. Not for everyone, but in a way I wish TV had more balls like this.

The whole “revolution” thing is the next big bullshit capitalist’s media are selling to the masses. In history, breaking down any shitty a democracy has always, ALWAYS, paved the way to a even worse tyranny. We have to fix what we got.

Also, not all revolutions are violent. Ask the Czechs and Slovaks. As far as I know, they aren’t living under a worse tyranny.

The meaning of my statement is basically that the online leftists talk about the “revolution” like Christians talk about the rapture. An apocalyptic event that will fix everything that’s wrong with the world and create utopia. In consequence, both groups talk about their chosen apocalyptic event without actually doing anything to improve the world. Of course its not all Christians and leftists, just the bottom of the barrel of the respective groups.

The shittiest democracy will always be better of tyranny, we need to fight for our rights, not to destroy the ONLY MODEL OF GOVERNMENT IN HISTORY who has even worked in favour of the population (as shitty as it is). Also stop voting “Rich Cunts” as president would help.

Did you know what is a very easy way to control and exploit large chunks of a population while ensuring that said popolation don’t unite against you? Give them shitty reasons to fight between themselves and be divided while you get fat and rich. Race/ gender/ religions… bla, bla, bla. Meanwhile the 1% fuck up the planet and steal both ours and future generation’s welfare.

What was the question, “where is America going to wind up?” Because that also can only be answered with “nowhere.” Revolution won’t change anything. Yes more undeserving people will die, but eventually all the greedy animals will run the farm again and the rest of the animals will slave their lives away for it. There is no other outcome for humanity and never has been.

This is not an answer either. The only solution is to actively advocate for the well-being of the middle and lower classes. Capitalism, as an economic model, must be regulated to prevent excessive exploitation and environmental degradation.

Historically, this is inaccurate. Drastically upsetting the status quo, whether with violent or non-violent revolution, does not necessarily result in the status quo coming back.

It wouldn’t always be the same individuals being successful after you redistributed land and wealth. You seem to think that greed and ruthlessness are the best ways or only ways to be successful. This is not true. People succeed though cooperation. Look for information about the Prisoners Dilemma, which is a thought experiment (and real experiment) about whether success is better achieved by cooperation or by ruthlessness.

I don’t think greed or ruthlessness are ways to be successful at all, rather that they come from gaining success over others and then realizing you have people by their short hairs and can yank them in any direction you choose. That what oil companies do to us all year long, and most other companies as well. But I had control of a company, you’d better believe I’d be as ruthless as possible in making people miserable and having them pay through their nose for any product I might make.
