This guy was found guilty of two felonies (plus a bunch of misdemeanors) that carry a maximum sentence of 8 and 5 years each. He got 6 years.

Charles Littlejohn who released Trump’s tax records got the maximum sentence of 5 years for his felony.

I just thought that 100% punishment vs (arguably) <50% punishment was an illuminating comparison worth noting.

Going after rich peoples taxes is a far more serious crime than treason.

Justice will never be blind. Best we can hope for is somewhat nearsighted.

You know, if you’re going to go and commit a federal felony, you might not want to look like a Michael Bolton + Dog the Bounty Hunter lovechild. An FBI field agent that lives in the same county as this dude was like “oh yeah, that’s Ralph, he’s no longer just on a watch list after this”.

On further thought, that look should probably be shit canned in general, except for maybe a Kid Rock “concert”.

In case anyone wonders how I feel about these folks.

“Stupidity cannot be cured. Stupidity is the only universal capital crime; the sentence is death. There is no appeal, and execution is carried out automatically and without pity.”
