Ivey Marie Weiss, 49, of Ocala, was arrested yesterday and charged with shoplifting and engaging in a scheme to defraud after allegedly stealing over $160 in items from the Target store in Gainesville.
It can. We has a local here who had some kind of compulsion to throw rocks (big ones) off of overpasses at cars.
He knew it was wrong, and the guilt evidently fucked with him a lot, but he also couldn’t stop himself. Eventually he had to turn himself in and hope the state didn’t execute him or something.
Not too long ago there was some guy around here who was torturing animals. Apparently he couldn’t stop himself either. Around the same time they found out who it was, he killed himself over it.
See, that’s just generally unfortunate. Obviously those animals didn’t deserve that, it sounds like he didn’t either, and on top of it all we lost what could have been a productive member of society.
Mental healthcare should be taken much more seriously.
Does it matter? I thought the standard is “knowing right from wrong” in terms of mental illness defense.

I think?
But I was simply providing one possible answer for the person above wondering, “what makes people do this?”
it definitely still matters…
Of course it does.
