  • Let me tell you a bit more about what you call “resistence”. Hamas October 7 incursion was arguably a genocide against Israel. For example Israel Gaza: Hamas raped and mutilated women on 7 October, BBC hears:

In the video, the woman known as Witness S mimes the attackers picking up and passing the victim from one to another.

“She was alive,” the witness says. “She was bleeding from her back.”

She goes on to detail how the men cut off parts of the victim’s body during the assault.

“They sliced her breast and threw it on the street,” she says. “They were playing with it.”

The victim was passed to another man in uniform, she continues.

“He penetrated her, and shot her in the head before he finished. He didn’t even pick up his pants; he shoots and ejaculates.”

One man we spoke to from the festival site said he heard the “noises and screams of people being murdered, raped, decapitated”.

And Hamas kidnapped 250 Israeli civilians and soldiers were also taken as hostages to the Gaza Strip, including 30 kidnapped children. Is kidnapping 30 children “resistence”?

  • From https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/campaigns/2025/05/what-is-the-tiananmen-crackdown/

Alliance vice-chairperson Chow Hang-tung and 25 activists were prosecuted in 2020 simply because they insisted on lighting candles in Victoria Park despite the government prohibiting the vigil that year, ostensibly on Covid-19 grounds. In 2021, after the police banned the vigil once again, Chow was arrested on 4 June after encouraging people on social media to commemorate the crackdown by lighting candles.

Ultimately, Chow was jailed for 22 months for taking part and inciting others to take part in an unauthorised assembly. She and fellow Hong Kong Alliance leaders Lee Cheuk Yan and Albert Ho have also been charged with “inciting subversion” under the National Security Law and all three face a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

On Wikipedia, a page titled “infamous liberals” would have a definition and link to the “liberal” page. This page doesn’t, which immediately gives the impression that the definition is “people I don’t like”. But I looked it up: https://www.conservapedia.com/Liberal

A liberal (alternately called a left-winger or leftist) in America is someone who advocates an increase in government spending, power, and control, typically through taxpayer-funded programs such as Welfare, failed public schools, ObamaCare and support for wasteful foreign aid. Liberals often support the censorship and the denial of Christian values[1] and conservative viewpoints.

Trump has proposed a $1.5 trillion military budget, so just government spending obviously doesn’t make someone a liberal. “Liberals often support” is something they claim liberals do, seemingly not something that makes a person a liberal.

So the claim seems to boil down to government control over the population being what makes someone a liberal. But surely the most government control-freaky in the US are the people behind ICE? And which party is it that wants to micro-manage control over women’s bodies? Which party has elements which want to forbid interracial marriage? Which party is it that want to forbid no-fault diverse? Which party is it that loves the war on drugs, largely even marihuana?

I also like how liberals support “failed public schools” and “wasteful foreign aid”. So if I support non-failed public schools and non-wasteful foreign aid, then I am not a liberal?
