  • Some of those are just in the beginner stage of enshittification, no doubt. But there is little reason to keep using Adobe when the free alternatives are this good to be honest. I used to pay for Affinity but I’m so glad it’s free now. The relaunch prompted people to make a proper Linux installer just in time when I ditched Windows. The program is in the best state it has ever been so even though this might be the start of something terrible, I’ll enjoy it while it lasts.

That’s the story the US keeps telling us ever since to explain away their own atrocities but it isn’t backed up by any data whatsoever. It’s pure vibes so we don’t think about how insanely inhumane nuclear weapons are. There is no evidence nuclear bombings were a major factor in the decision to finally surrender but it’s a fact they were already losing hard before the bombings. It was a matter of time, not a matter of atrocities.

Imperialist Japan needed to be defeated for a greater good. I firmly believe that. That doesn’t make nuclear bombs a necessary evil, however. It’s just evil.

  • “CEO said a thing!” journalism involves parroting the claims of a business leader or executive with absolutely no context, correction, or challenge whatsoever, no matter how elaborate the delusion.

Telling everyone Elon was a fraud for years was a painful time. Because people would just believe his endless claims that never turned out to be true. I could list a dozen major lies of his and they would just say “Just wait bro! He will save us all!”. Ugh.

Then again it was still not as painful as today. Journalism is largely really really bad and that’s in part to the fact most of it is owned by the obscene rich.
