Peter and the star catchers is around 500 pages ya and about Peter Pan and Neverland and the author is arguably one of the better fantasy ya writers. He has a whole series set in Disney land or Disney world called the kingdom keepers

maybe try some other genres of romance it sounds like your reading basic boring throw away romances, something more in depth might be fantasy romance, supernatural romance, historical romance. There is a reason i dont read books like your describing and its because they are all the same.
i love the book the audiobook was amazing well worth the 24 hours and i would totally read it again
read something else for a bit and go back to it, i often read five books at once.
i just want to say not everyone is a reader and while i do think all children need to read more forcing your children by reading allowed to them your favorite books and not something they are interested in will only cause friction and make them hate reading. Let your child pick a book that would interest them or even a audiobook, libraries still have audiobooks in them and most can be digital on a phone tablet or computer.
your 12 year old is only going to become more stubborn the more you force the issue. Give them a option like you can stay up later if you are reading or listening to a book instead of tv or video games.
Introduce them to the library and let them pick what they want.
Just because you love reading does not mean your children will too they are their own people with their own interests.
my kobo has achievments on it like read three different days at a certain time of day, and read all the books you own and stuff, but check out some online reading challanges or join a book club that way you dont have to necessarily pick the books
Wow people have money to spend on books I just am in my Libby app like twice a day.
that depends, i like to start my day with reading, usually a hour, mostly fanfiction but i am straying more towards books these days im trying to finish my 50 book goal for the year. I would have more on the count if i wasnt reading fanfiction so much. I also read at night while working with my husband instead of tv or movies we do audiobooks, we just finished the abridged brave new world bbc narration yesterday 2 hours long just like a movie. I am in the middle of two other audiobooks currently and thinking of starting a third today. So for audiobooks 2-4 hours a day, for reading ebooks or fanfiction 1-3 hours probably. I sometimes read while i work on my own instead of with my husband.
i might try a sequel but if it isnt as good i usually dont finish it, example the motes in gods eye was really good i fully enjoyed it. I went to read the second one and its 25 years in the future and really off putting it doesnt make sense with the first one.
some people dont like watching things multiple times and you shouldnt force yourself to do something you dont want to. I like to rewatch things for nostalgia mostly, some people dont really do nostalgia. Im currently rereading a series i read over 15 years ago, it feels the same but im the one who is different, i have different views, im older, i still love the series i can just articulate why better.
I have to say terribly Twilight 13 times, i reread it every time there was a new book coming out and i was kind of obsessed with the book as a preteen. My paperback copy literally fell apart one day.
For adult me Outlander i have at least 6 reads of since my first read at like 16. I only got through book 5 and every time i want to read more of the series i start totally over and never end up getting past 5.
that would be awesome for them to add you can always suggest things for them to change on the website
Oh no I deleted my Goodreads for a reason
I updated mine in like a hour but I only had a year and a half to update
That’s one of my issues with good reads too
I’m looking for more picky I don’t want to be disappointed by any more reads that I read generally good reviews on just because people wanted to be nice in their reviews
Really because story graph said some of my books were Spanish and some were Japanese so I’m assuming they have more languages, this was a error when they moved my books over from Goodreads, I did have some older books not say they were audiobook or when it did they didn’t know the length of them but those audiobooks I listened to on YouTube
i think as long as you are enjoying your reading pages per minute or hour or whatever doesnt matter. Maybe try audiobooks even if you have to get more books read if that is your goal.
i dont have a kindle i have a kobo, and also read audiobooks through libby
Depends on what website you are using I’m using story graph which allows users to not only rate the book but to add tags that can help people avoid triggers or chose better books for themselves based off topics. It also recommends by mood and I can set it to include or exclude certain genres. I also follow my favorite YouTuber mikes book reviews I trust his judgement and Im working through classic novels. I haven’t read anything written after I want to say 2008 in about three years.
