It does, but it’s based on which type you’re using. Some are Eager and others are lazy.
I just set up a server running centos that has podman pre installed and I couldn’t get it to work without installing additional packages and following guides.
Servo is in active development. I could see a future where tauri uses servo on all platforms.

tauri doesn’t use electron. it uses the webview of whatever platform it’s built to run on. could be chromium, could be safari.
