I’m notoriously tender-hearted. I tear up watching or listening to emotional content all the time. I’ve never cried at funeral, though…mostly because I’m usually just trying to keep it together so I can be supportive for those who need it. Otherwise, I’m a big softie and it annoys me sometimes, but…it’s just how I am, I guess.

1·7 天前If I remember correctly, Akregator wouldn’t allow me to resize the text to make it more readable. Also, I believe it was having trouble downloading a few of my feeds for some reason.

- You’re assuming that I know how to code. :)
- I think the privacy concerns are from third parties somehow being able to use browser extensions to read the contents of whatever other tabs one has open. At least that’s what I’ve read.
I’m surprised no one has mentioned Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay…or am I misunderstanding the assignment?

1·14 天前I understand what you’re saying, but calling people out just pisses them off and starts an argument that usually ends with both parties walking away swearing and namecalling over their shoulder (if things don’t get violent). At least that’s been my experience. Which is why I simply don’t engage, or at least try not to. It’s the same both online and offline, as far as I can tell.
If you have a better solution, I’m sure we’d all appreciate it. :)
Delete everything after the ‘?’ in the url before sharing it, and you should be good to go.

162·17 天前Religion has been used from time immemorial to manipulate the masses. It’s an incredibly effective method for transforming a normally content and peaceful populace into a ravenous horde that can then be pointed at anyone the regime wants defeated or otherwise out of the way. It doesn’t matter a hill of beans whether something is ‘true’. What matters is whether the populace can be made to believe that it’s true. Once that hurdle is overcome, a society can be manipulated into doing almost anything - as we have all clearly seen in recent events.
I mean, even ‘think with your head and not your heart’ is perfectly valid under certain circumstances. It just happens to be used generously by people who are trying to justify doing harm, that’s all.
Any person who has ever told me to ‘think with your head and not your heart’ has always - without exception - turned out to be a major asshole who does a lot of harm to themselves and those around them.
When someone reminds me of something I’ve completely forgotten about. It’s the worst feeling…
They would first have to prove that you were the one who did it. Good luck with that.

No, Legolas was the only elf at the Battle of Helm’s Deep.
