1·2 months agoIts not the easiest process, but me le modding has been figured out. Here’s a guide made for steam deck but the steps should apply to most distros. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2924374014

Dull Men's Club@lemmy.world•My broccoli is exactly 1 pound, down to the thousandth
8·2 months agoI think so. I’ll have to use the broccoli plu code for part of the numbers haha

12·2 months agoWith the plastic. And I don’t have a scale accurate enough to see if the bag would change it or not :/

3DPrinting@lemmy.world•Designed & printed a bracket to mount wheels on my hammock!English
3·3 months agoI just bought them from Harbor freight. I put links on the printables page to what I used, but they’re 6 inch cart wheels, you can get them lots of places. The scad file is parameterized so you can modify it to fit whatever wheels and pins you find.

2·3 months agoDang, that would be sick. I can’t imagine the amount of abs warping on furniture size prints though.

7·3 months agoHaha, this was just printed on my voron. Although a giant garage printer would be pretty cool.
I printed this in ASA to help with the heat. No scientific stress testing but I’ve been using it for a week or so without issue. And with this print orientation it should be strong enough, since the forces are perpendicular to the layer lines. If it does break, the hammock would drop maybe an inch so I’m not worried.

7·3 months agoYup, exactly this. And with the tear drop holes, there’s no need for support material in this orientation.
Yeah, it was a family who turned it into a rental when they moved out. Then it was eventually sold to an investment company who “remodeled”. I think the company was just a regular house flipper who did their own work. It’s weird, they did such a good job on a lot of things, and then the absolute worst job on random bits. I’m guessing they realized remodeling properly takes time and rushed the finishing touches to just get it sold. Luckily they left all of the supplies to fix what they messed up haha.
Its actually a frame for a screwless wall plate! The plate just snaps onto the clear bit.
Yup, it’s an outside wall. That makes more sense about it being draft prevention! The outlet was loose so I just figured it was a way to get it supported. I’ll be replacing every outlet in the house asap. The house was built in the 80’s, so even if most outlets are fine, I’ll sleep better knowing there’s no 40+ year old outlets about to bite the dust.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•Microsoft doing shady Microsoft stuff againEnglish
1·4 months agoDefinitely a very low chance for chrome or Firefox to bug it out, but there’s tons of apps out there that could break it. Like how many sketchy “PC cleaner” applications are out there? Those could definitely cause weird issues. I love to hate on Microsoft as much as anyone, but without context on what the user was doing prior to seeing this error, this just seems like normal error handling to me.

101·4 months agoPlaying devils advocate here. If there was a bug when chrome/Firefox/whatever tried to set the default browser, wouldn’t the most logical action to reset the default back to edge, instead of leaving it in a weird bugged out state?

2·5 months agoYup, 2020 bolt owner here. Bought it used after the recalls for cheapish. It’s ugly, but nice to drive and pretty dang practical. Plus it has actual buttons and knobs for AC and volume! Just wish it charged faster for the occasional road trip.

2·7 months agoOh man, I guess I did just post and run haha. Life got in the way and I never ended up doing a proper fix. I just jacked it up a bit, and adjusted the pavers enough so that it’s not resting on the wedges. Eventually I want to move it and pour some concrete posts like someone else mentioned. Hopefully I have time this fall to do this, and my “temporary” fix doesn’t become permanent. The ambitious side of me wants to tear down the shed and rebuild, since it wasn’t built that well, but that’s probably never going to happen.
I’m with you on this. It’s kinda ugly, but kinda neat. If it wasn’t made so shitty, wasn’t a safety hazard, and wasn’t associated with a nazi, I don’t think it would get any more hate than any other pickup. But for looks, I’ll take ugly over boring any day.
Fellow boost user here. Everything works fine, and I can’t think of any missing features. Can’t imagine what an update would involve honestly.

Man, people really suck. Is there anyway we can help or assist? Maybe donations to help with server costs? Thanks for all you do to keep it running! This place is fantastic and I hate seeing it being targeted.
