Yes, it’s deep rooted, which means grassroots from the ground up local change. Which isn’t happening in any coordinated manner by Dems.
But current Dems NEVER get past “the first step” because aside from a bare handful at this point, they don’t represent the will of the people any more than Republicans do and it’s really time the rest of you comprehend this deep down.
Also, get off your high fucking horse. You’re on the same internet, and what makes you think I’m NOT doing anything?
Fucking controlled opposition bootlickers.
Actual opposition? Actual leadership?
We’re literally watching, at best, the destruction of every social good of the 20th century and the political supremacy of the oligarchy or, at worst, a 21st century Reich but with Evangelicals.
Something more than, “oh hey this looks bad” would be nice. Something that would belie the “controlled opposition” label being used for Dems would be nice. Getting out from under the thumb of AIPAC would be nice.
I just love how the best any US politician can do is point out the obvious.
Fire sale, insider trading, stock manipulation, price manipulation… pick a scam/con. It’s at least one of them.
As an older American from the deep south, it’s just a holdover from cheap high calorie/high carb foods to start the day back when America was mostly agrarian.
Then when the 50s rolled around it got combined with nutrition concepts of a “balanced breakfast” by cereal marketing firms and romanticized to sell even cheaper products to children/parents; sugared cereal.
For me, breakfast is bacon, eggs and biscuits or toast. And maybe grits if I’m feeling like it. I like hash browns but I don’t like making them.
It’s just leftover marketing. Eat what makes you happy.
Blue MAGA baby, they can’t help it.
I mean, sure hindsight is 20/20.
But Columbia would have never happened if Congress hadn’t pulled funding for the titanium heat shield they wanted.
Cons: Expensive vehicles means we still don’t have Medicare for All.
Cons:
Trading with “the enemy” used to be considered treasonous.
Cons:
It HAS to be made out of prohibitively expensive and difficult to acquire titanium.
Not a rocket scientist so I can’t say.
But I’m betting a room full of them and NASA engineers thought through all of their options based on the criteria and current tech.
Ok, buddy, if you say so.
That’s like other drug dealers cheering the biggest drug dealer getting gutted.
It’s just southern racists. It’s all just southern racists.
You’re not wrong, but post WWII Republicans were more than willing to play along so long as big business got theirs.
IMO, it was when the CRA, the EPA and other “anti-business” initiatives came into existence that “small government” because a buzz word for them.
They made a completely wrong turn when they teamed up with Evangelicals in the 80’s and let them into positions of power in the party in the 90’s culminating in the bat-shit-crazies we have now.
Like I said a broken clock is correct twice a day.
Yea, thwarting DOGE/Muck and Trump feels good, but then end result of them taking down USAID and VOA is actually better for the world and ultimately American citizens.
No more propaganda. No more easy coverups for the CIA influencing and attempting coups.
Mea culpa, you’re right. I was misremembering.
So with the original titanium heat shield the Columbia crew wouldn’t have died such gruesome deaths. All because Congress was cheap.
That wasn’t complaining that was countering your propaganda. Or did you not realize that’s what you were spreading?
Controlled. Opposition. Propaganda.
The rest I’m ignoring because it’s obviously projection.
