How is this version different from the one GE release just a few hours ago?

I am talking about this one here.

Seems like the GE version is still based on Wine/Proton 8? Maybe someone could test the GE version aswell and see how it compares.

Why not try to redirect people from reddit over here first? In my opinion the announcement on reddit should have said that “all updates and potential fixes are being discussed over at Kbin”.

I would at least try for a few days and see how many people actually show up and collaborate on fixing the issue here at Kbin before reopening the sub. Because I don’t see a reason why anyone should participate in this community when the game is basically working.

You can try using an older wine/proton version. I think I’m using version wine-lutris-ge-lol-7.0.8 from GitHub/GloriousEggroll. Thats the one that currently works best for me. I remember trying the newer ones but they all had their issues, at least on my installation.

Lets see if it this patch actually breaks the game. This may be a good opportunity to encourage people to participate here.

In my opinion it was still the right move to leave reddit. The idea of having a git repository with the wiki pages is also great. The game is playable right now, which might be a reason why the community is not really active at the moment. I just hope that if a patch comes that breaks the game on linux this will be the place to get information about workarounds and fixes.
