And what good did that do him?
It’s not about money, its about wealth. You could have all the money in the world but if you have all the debts to pay then it means nothing.

Thompson’s net worth was estimated at approximately $42.9 million as of February 16, 2024
His total compensation in 2022 was reported to be $9.86 million, comprising a base salary of $1 million, stock awards, option awards, and non-equity incentive plans.
Thompson had “fuck you” money. The guy was at no risk of needing employment. Equating Thompson with the working class is a joke.
Worker class is the true unifier. You can be lower, mid, and upper worker class.
If you have to work to live, you’re working class. If your employer controls a significant portion of your life and time, you’re working class.
So what you’re saying is if the collective can set Luigi free then you might be okay with the deal?
Jesus was always saying punchy one liners. He’d be a brilliant satirist.

They appear to be clueless, so those with a clue may out themselves.

Matthew was a tax collector, one of his key disciples. Jesus was also compassionate towards Zaccheus, who was a wealthy tax collector. Zaccheus was wise enough to repent from his over-taxing of citizens, however.

I think it takes at least two reads. It was difficult the first time trying to keep track of everything in my head. I reckon its not worth feeling inferior about it and just give it a go. I recommend treating it like episodes.
Children of Hurin (the standalone book) is definitely worth a read once you have the context. The audiobook with Christopher Lee’s narration is an excellent choice.

Tax implications and legal entities. If a company doesn’t exist in a jurisdiction, how can it be met with justice when they do things that harm people?

It is an indicator for the influence that the entity has over a population. If I was governing the EU, I would want to know how much influence a media entity has over my citizens: good or ill.

Either make the waves, ride the waves, be part of the wave, or try to walk against the wave.
We all want to be the makers but the majority of us won’t be. Try to ride the waves.
