You can call it free-handing (i just look at things and simplfy them when drawing kind of thing). I do share some Wip screenshots on Mastodon and sometimes i do timelapse videos too.
For this particular artwork here’s a wip screenshot

I start with black&white values to begin with, then when I have a solid composition, I start adding colors.

Oh that’s a great idea, crazy thing is, i thought about drawing Tycho the other day too.
