Yeah adding padding is always harmful. If the aspect ratio doesn’t match it’s not like the video breaks so just let the player deal with it. Anyone who has a problem with vertical videos isn’t going to be any happier that you added bars to it. Who is this solution for?

Similarly, I had a bug report that said “I went to lunch and when I came back it crashed”. For some reason though my manager wouldn’t pay me to go out to lunch to reproduce the issue.

The difference between town, zip code, school district, village, hamlet, and city where I live. I pay taxes to town A, by zip code is named after a hamlet in town B, our school district is named after town C. If you ask people where they live they will answer any one of these things.

In my opinion the town you pay taxes to is the best answer. The zip code, or location on your address, is deceptive because they are often named after small hamlets where the post office is. This small hamlet is a very distinct place where you probably don’t actually live. School Districts are often named after the biggest town they pull from so if you are not from that town it’s not really accurate. If you happen to be in a city or village that’s a good answer. However hamlets are so small and local that anyone not from the immediate vicinity will have no idea what you’re taking about if you say you are from there.

At ‘o’ I was thinking “oh their right hand is shifted”. Then at ‘t’ I’m wondering if they use their right hand for ‘r’ but now they are shifted the other way. Finally it finishes at ‘w’ and now they are shifted the other way again and up a row. My conclusion is that they hover their hands above keyboard without touching and just smash down in the general direction of the keys.

The obvious answer is phone keyboard but that’s not as fun.

When I’m not paying attention sometimes one hand will get shifted and I’ll write it a whole sentence with half of the letters offset.

Thanks for pointing this out. I just removed slide from my phone and now I can look forward to adding a new version of it in the future.
