that’s just a judgement on his content and doesn’t give insight on his probably far right political stance

i generally agree, as a european i also said dumb shit because i lack the cultural knowledge WHY certain words are problematic. but pewdiepie was always kind of close to some weird folk. we all probably forgot about the meme review with ben shapiro and elon musk - that was before the “bridge incident” - there was also the t-series stuff which started out as a funny thing in good faith but it normalized racism. his song “removed lasagna” starts with “bobs or vegana, whatever will it be?” and includes lines like “hold your defecation”

there´s plenty of leads that make people think internet historian is not clean either. putting “1488” and “88” dogwhistles in his videos aswell as crudely drawn swastikas or stars of david in inconvenient places. he follows questionable far-right people on twitter and in the “bikelock fugitive” video he just goes with the 4chan story.

in what sense is china a dictatorship? their political system completely differs from western democracies. on a communal level it is highly democractic on a communal level and seems to look out for it´s people in general. i am no huge china fan and have my own issues with it but strictly calling it a “dictatorship” and dismissing it as a valuable partner leaves a sour taste in my mouth - something about europeans with their own problems (rise of fascism and going the same path of billionaires dictating policy like the us) thinking they are the only valid democracy.

i wonder why you started off on a high horse? like yea of course digitally independent people will brag about it because they´ve been telling everyone for ages they are right and we generally seem to agree

i don’t really understand your point. even buying used dvd’s or blu-rays is marginally cheaper than subscription services. people just became too comfortable.
users pay for convenience and when the service stops their money is gone and they have nothing in return.

in what sense is the chinese government a big problem compared to the us with whom we try to keep good relations despite the fact they screw us over geopolitically the 1st chance they get? (they can ground ozr f35’s on a whim, nordstream was a thorn in their eyes, they sanction us for trying to be digitally independet etc.)
what did china do? sell cheap ev’s that compete with european manufacturers and they took over the lead in solar because european politicians stopped incentivizing innovation. wow.

streaming service: 15-20€ per month per service me: vpn 5€ and a cheap hard drive
i’d be poorer with subscribing

delusional.
we can’t keep up with better chinese products at lower prices and get protective about it. why? idk man… maybe because top-eu manufacturers only went for short term profits and shot themselves in the foot in the long run. e.g. vw and their suv market that us thinning without a plan b for affordable products
stop crying, reareange your businesses. china is not the issue here.
i currently try to gain weight, as i really need to.
i am using mass gainer protein and get abt 3000 calories daily which is already a CHORE. after 2 months i feel like it’s impossible to get overweight with european foods lmao
but maybe i just burn it faster idk.
i may never understand why americans tend to look like this…
i rarely use it, so i am not familiar with the lack of festures.
i just wanted to throw the name out as it wasn’t mentioned yet

even if this article confirms my suspicions: it’s AI slop and i dismiss it.
fuck ai
pretty much. yea
