It’s a politicians job to cater to the people who actually vote. Moderates vote so democrats cater to them.

Republicans took voters from democrats by running ads that blamed “radical leftists democrats and their progressive policies” for inflation and every other problem under the sun.

Along with the leftists that didn’t vote this was enough to give the win to facists.

This is how US politics ratchets to the right.

Because leftists don’t vote for politicians that must cater to more than just leftists to win.

    A) they are policies to the left of center. Saying they are random policies doesn’t even make sense.

    B) something less progressive but still left of center. Meaning a move to the left.

    C) the way time works, things have to happen before 2024 for them to exist in 2024. No one is saying “too far left”. That’s a straw man you are try to create.

Your opinion of how left Kamala was doesn’t matter.

It’s the voters opinions that matters. Republican propaganda convinced voters that Kamala is a radical leftists.

I agree that you should stop replying based on your feelings. Join reality instead.

  • Claiming Liz Cheney is responsible for 13 million people not voting is the bullshit.

2020 had the highest voter turnout ever because of the pandemic.

Billionaires were doing things like buying votes to avoid being taxed by Kamala.

Republicans convinced many Americans that Biden and his “radical left wing” policies were responsible for inflation.

Enemy nations like China and Russia favored Trump and used their bot farms accordingly.

No one I know that voted irl ever even cared about Liz Cheney.

The idea that Liz Cheney could sway 13 million votes is ridiculous.

  • I think think there are more moderates that far left or far right because the majority of people are exposed to talking points from all ideologies.

I think the internet is causing more people to stay inside their echo chambers and drift further left or right instead of being exposed to nuance.

But I suppose capitalism has played a part in forming those echo chambers. Facebook being one example that comes to mind.

It was a calculated decision to win the election and Biden won the election. It was a decision made by the individual candidates. Not the DNC.

I would vote for Bernie but America has more moderate voters than far left or far right. That needs to be considered when deciding the next candidate.

I would like for them to be doing better than this also but if the person I responded to based their argument on the false claim that democrats are losing all the elections then they have already lost their credibility and are arguing in bad faith. So it is reasonable to expect for a source for their other claims.
