1st: that’s still medieval times 2nd: I said GUNPOWDER, not bombs. Bombs are made of gunpowder. Therefore, medieval bombs are possible. 3rd: Bombs are in other versions, so, I still don’t know what that has to do with not updating. 4th: my violent? What does that even mean?

Bombs have been in the game since who knows when. Also gunpowder was discovered in China, 2500 BCE, I think.

Feel ya. The time I used it, it barely seemed like there was an increase on the number of paths. And I get why, maybe you might get a trap on corridors more often, on really annoying places to deactivate. So I just think increasing trap’s AOE (+ a slight increase in the number of these) would make this a better trinket. It seems like Evan forgot about it, every other trinket is getting adjustments but this one.

Here’s an idea I had: if you feed the book an upgrade when the book is already at +10 it has a chance of reading a scroll of enchantment. Maybe all accessories could have a new mechanic, an extra ability that unlocks at +10 and using one single upgrade scroll to them.
To fix the unstable spellbook they just need to add the transmutation scroll in lmao
I also use it for the free mystical energy scroll, which takes 2 charges but gives 3. And magic mapping and lullaby (free heal) although they are unreliable

If you can’t bare loosing some efficiency (you must be fun as a coder in a really big, multinational project) you can just throw a random item at the traps. You don’t even loose one charge of the second worst wand of the game.
