That’s an interesting take. Not sure where you’re located, but in the US, if you have been seeing a therapist or councilor for mental health or trauma, they can also qualify your fur baby as an ESA, and in the US you’re leasing office has to accept it. NO questions asked, they don’t drill you about what function it performs, they’re not allowed to do that. In our neighborhood, they require you to have the pet first, then take your time with the certification, they don’t pressure you to provide it right away. This give your time to talk to your therapist, councilor and register for your pet’s ESA certificate. Where we live, they don’t harass you like that. Sorry to hear that has been the experience for others.
And what “qualifies” an animal to be “worthy” to you of emotional support? Why should you set the “standard?” People who actually need their ESAs and have been denied rentals or homes in HOA communities, have had to walk away from that home because they didn’t know their rights. Veterans and mental health patients can decide for themselves what constitutes an animal who is qualified to calm and help them. Sure there are some dogs who are trained as “Eye Dogs or Physical Assist” dogs for those who are legally blind and physically impaired, but the spectrum of a support animal is much broader. And those pet fee’s mentioned, most veterans who are now retired and actually need their ESAs due to PTSD, can’t afford the extra pet fees. Maybe we know their rights and resources, but most Veterans and mental health patients don’t. That’s who this post is for. If the post is not for your, then it’s not for you.
There seems to be some strong opinions about the ESA rights. This was posted to help those who have PTSD or other mental health issues and actually DO need their pets but get their renter’s application denied and can’t bring them to their new place because of “rules”. People have been kept out of good housing because they have a pet for mental health reason. We WILL NOT remove this post becuase you’re offened.

2·3 个月前Some vets do recommend mixing wet and dry, just make sure to:
- Read the label: Check the ingredient list for words you can actually pronounce and make sure it has no excessive fillers.
- Check for “BPA-free” or “BPA-non-intent”: Look for brands that are processed without BPA.
I am a firm believer in reading labels on everything. The rule of thumb is if you can’t pronounce it, you shouldn’t put it in your mouth. The same goes for our fur babies.

2·3 个月前You should consider a raw food diet, not as expensive as you might think. It’s better digestion, less health issues over time, processed food can really harm them as they age. Their bellies are smaller than ours so their portions can really last and the only need to eat twice a day when they’re adults with a couple of small snacks between.

So that confirms it, a monk fruit version of this is definitely warranted, updating the recipe today! Thanks
Nice variation, healthier versions are options are always wanted! You have no idea how close this recipe was to having a monk fruit sweetener option!

Carnivore Kitchen@lemmy.world•Quick Question on ButcherBox...English
21·4 个月前We’ve had a good experience overall! ButcherBox’s grass-fed beef is definitely their strongest category — the ribeyes and strip loins are consistently well-marbled and tender, so you’re spot on there.
The ground beef and chuck roasts are also solid if you like higher-fat cuts.
We haven’t personally tried the pork options either, but other Carnies on line have mentioned the bacon and pork shoulder are decent quality if you’re not avoiding pork.
The only thing I’d say is that sometimes the steaks can vary a bit in thickness from box to box, but flavor-wise they’ve always been reliable.
Curious what other Carnies have experienced too — everyone’s box seems a little different!
