2·4 hours agoGood to hear. I like the concept and style. Although I almost feel like the boardgame experience would be a better fit.
Classic point-and-click (in the style of the 80s/90s) will never be released as AAA.
The closest would be Quantic Dream or Telltale style releases.
That being said, I don’t think this is bad thing. While AAA offers a level of scope and polish, it also has its own drawbacks.
It makes sense that the creator would port their old flash game.

Is this a complete Idris (i.e. actual gameplay for a full set of players), or this an incomplete variant?

7·3 days agoDon’t think there is a dedicated Timberborn community, but I think a lot of people in the city-builder community have played. I am sure questions, screenshots, discussion would fit in just fine.
Yeah, the power line creation was a massive pain.

I tried the demo and it was a solid foundation. The dev’s previous game, Tavern Mastern, is also an excellent management game. Just the right mix of fun and complexity.

The mages guild quest issue is a bug.

He has mostly been involved in ApeCoin/ApeChain which is a phase 2 scam of that monkey JPEG scheme.
He got suspended from their forum for arguing against some insiders who were scamming the marks.

I agree. I love the style. But that being said, I have some younger family members (in their 20s) who are into gaming and they think this is some old school stuff that’s unappealing (they like modern RPGs).
I really got to try Daggerfall, some of the mods radically improve the coherence and depth of the open world.
For some reason, I really like the graphical style (probably nostalgia).
That would be cool!
