For me it was the upside-down exclamation mark that gave it away. And I’d rather see it as satire.

C’mon, this isn’t reddit.
Your gentle reminder for today to always censor yourself.

Oh, the horror. DDG is only better because it’s not the big G, otherwise it returns the same nonesense search optimized slop. If your data is not important, russian site yandex gives different hits (def better for the high seas). There’s also a paid websearch (forgot the name) that seems legit.
Internet is dead.

The EU link broke during copypaste.
I think it’s worth a read, it hits harder when you read about this stuff in beaurocratese. Here’s the part about Europe, but it might also interest people, that US is still adamant on Taiwanese independance. Anyhow, here ya go:
On Europe, the 2025 NSS lists, among the top security priorities for the US, reestablishing ‘strategic stability’ with Russia, enabling Europe to develop military capabilities to defend itself, preventing Europe from being dominated by an adversarial power, and ending the perception of NATO being a perpetually expanding alliance. The document’s rhetoric on culture wars targets Europe unlike any other region mentioned in the NSS. Europe is criticised both for its economic decline and for its ‘migration policies that are transforming the continent and creating … loss of national identities’, and for facing ‘a real … prospect of civilizational erasure’. The EU is only mentioned once, when it is associated with ‘other transnational bodies that undermine political liberty’. At the same time, Europe is described as ‘strategically and culturally vital’ to the US, and the NSS proposes ‘cultivating resistance to Europe’s current trajectory within European nations’, and supporting European nations operating ‘as a group of aligned sovereign nations’

Before that wasn’t he convicted of multiple felonies?
Yeah, just shiv it right between the cooler blades.

Even for free? Epic is giving it away. Just make sure to get the Heroic launcher.
So, this is basically how they retconned Jet into an ensign.
He was first introduced as a lieutenant with two pips, and the second picture OP posted is basically saying that it was actually just delicious street corn on his collar, not a second pip.
I hope this cleared things up.
It seems you gave it a fighting chance! During my first playthrough, I went with the easier version of not needing food or water. There is a moment in there, when you have to go way down to get some resources, which can be tough if you’re not fully immersed.
I don’t want to send you back in there, cuz 15-30h gameplay is plenty enough to get to know the game, it just scratched my itch for wanting to discover a world so well (which I believe is what you crave), it’s hard to accept that it’s not for everyone. Hope you find something swell! Maybe that Detroit comes alive stuff? I never played, but that seems gta-like.

I am currently living about 13 years behind current times, but man are those Tombraiders good.
Have you played Subnautica yet?
What I took away from your writing is that you like the freeworld aspect, and Subnautica has plenty to fuck around with. It has a main story line, but the game is so good, you can kinda forget about it and just build your underwater palace. No stealibg cars or planes, but you can craft pretty amazing vehicles and ‘fly around’ underwater with them.
I think you’d enjoy it.
Mint which has for whatever reason been constantly recommended as a go-to distro
I can bring my anecdote to the table:
I was able to mess up my initial ubuntu install so bad, that any time I deleted a file, the system thought I threw out that piece of drive with it. Maybe I reigned back on my careless ‘sudoing’, but Mint was able to take me all the way to the Arch variants without breaking.
Now I just do whatever Endeavour tells me. Next step will be to start messing properly with Arch (and kin), and see what all the fuss is about around FOSS.
And blue light does keep you awake. Are we team Esotheria?

I’m embroidering this on a throw pillow.
“Resources”, I believe.
IDDQD, IDKFA, ⬆️⬆️⬇️⬇️⬅️➡️⬅️➡️B,A,Start, are the ones I know off the top of my head. Tons of people don’t want to grind, just sandbox, so you get city and people sims with infinite cash codes.
I guess what I’m getting at is, if they weren’t called cheat codes, would it even be considered cheating? Cheating usually involves someone being harmed or cheated out of something (money, love). Are there any victims in this case (strictly single player, of course)? I’d argue that you even lose out if you aren’t using codes, cuz you might say ‘fuck it’, and just move on to another thing (like your Terraria example).
Heck, we might as well tie this up with something modern and political, like right to repair. If you bought the software, you should be free to manipulate it, all the way up to (but not including) distributing your version for money. Single player cheating is about as harmful as a nice masturbation sesh.
Yeah, but that beats making another freemium app or rowing Bezos’ boat. Keep your chin up, and make sure you and your own are OK. There will be no revolution if all the altruists are already bled out, you hear me?
