Blender is such a great piece of software. I have been having a blast learning it!

I really hope someone is archiving their good old stuff, because it won’t take long for discovery to delete everything to save a few bucks.
The album I listened to the most last year! I fucking love Aes.
I usually love and prefer the goofy look of old SciFi, but seeing the brutalist, utilitarian aesthetics of the tech in the two newest Dune movies convinced me of that the new designs can be awesome when done right.
It’s a big thing because it’s much easier to make fun of an objectively better lifestyle choice (avoiding meat or Microsoft etc.) than it is to try and argue against it. Especially because that would force people to question their own behaviour and that can be difficult and hurtful.
Nier: Automata
Such a great game story- and gameplay wise. But I always feel like a creep the entire time I’m playing, because of the oversexualisation of the main character. Every outfit is skintight or miniskirted, and the cutscenes are full of deliberate upskirt angles.

freedumbto News@lemmy.world•Phones are distracting students in class. More states are pressing schools to ban them71·1 year agoYours is the first comment I see that thinks further than “phones bad, mkay”. Thanks for that. I am a teacher myself, and I don’t see the phones themselves being the problem, but the fact that the curriculum is totally outdated and irrelevant to this generation and the students know this. I have personally fought to get some ‘technology weeks’ (where I teach 3D modelling, animation and programming) and the phones stay in the students pockets for the entirety of those classes (without me telling them to!), because the subject is relevant, interesting and actually requires for them to think creatively instead of just memorising facts.
I have no experience with their printers, only foil cutters. And they are like the HP printers of foil cutters.
Maybe I should’ve mentioned that I only use their foil cutters, and not old-school printers. The foil cutters are absolutely horrible to use, and require so many additional proprietary purchases. And they actively try to kill cheaper alternatives for stuff like their sticky-mats, by adding a little code to their mat, so you can’t use any other type than their own.
Except their products suck ass. Fuck Brother.

The most unexpected plot twist of the century would be Putin coming out as trans. Would be interesting to see how republicans would react to that.
