Things are getting better. Scooter has been being pretty friendly to Noki. Noki is still unsure when entering the same room because Scooter likes to run over and give headbutts and he can’t tell if it’s going to be friendly or not. If he stands his ground it’s all good but if he runs Scooter gives chase but it’s getting better everyday now.

They’ve been together for about two years with no problems, but a few weeks back Noki got outside for a few hours and when he came back Scooter went ballistic and started attacking him. Idk what smell he picked up but it really set Scooter off. I don’t think the smell is a problem anymore but they both seem to be holding a grudge about the fight. I kept them separate for a few days and fed them treats together under a door until they started getting along again but things aren’t stable yet. They’ll be good for a while and then next time they see each other they’ll hiss. Cats right? 🤷🏼‍♂️

  • Thank you! I had experienced something similar the first time Scooter went to have his teeth pulled. Noki didn’t recognize him at first but it only involved a little hissing and only lasted a day. This time I think it was a combo of him smelling like outside, Scooter being a more aggressive youngster and the fact he saw him come over the fence into the yard. They never go outside except in the catio, so he saw him as an intruder because cats in the yard are usually strangers. I’m just thankful it’s getting better. It was pretty stressful for a few days.

  • Does yours actually block YouTube ads? I followed instructions and set my pi-hole up a few years ago and it works pretty well on most things but does not block YouTube ads. I was told this was because YouTube hosts the ads on the same IP address as the videos and therefore the pi-hole can’t tell the difference? However, I’ve been using smart tube on my Nvidia shield tv box and that blocks the ads. Do I just need to update my block list on the pi-hole?
