Great find, read through the entire thing and found it enlightening and scary, since we’re dealing with the rise of fascism again.

LSC on Reddit was quite active, so it might have name recognition. Thanks for the heads up!
You’re not the only one to miss my attempt at humor. I suspect I have used a format from Reddit that might be obscure in other parts of the online world. I make a statement and pretend like it’s a quote from a group or individual I actually disagree with. I am not advocating for police funding, I suggested that the image might elicit such a response from naive liberals.
I was joking. I thought it was super obvious, but here we are.
It’s sad to see how badly the police need more funding, their vehicles braking down en masse like that!
___ Some liberal, probably
Yeah, I love it!
Got tricked into taking a whiff out of a barrel of ammonia as a kid. I do not recommend! It’s not a stench, it’s a sensation.
I love the Fallout universe and crafting in games, so with the amazing mod community I’ve wasted (?) nearly 6,000 hours on Fallout 4.
I know it’s arguably the weakest of Fallout 1-4 and New Vegas, but it became a refuge for me to escape from the real world into.
I was confused at first how anyone thought that Madison Square Garden was dangerous, could it be all that ice-hockey they play there. Then I read the other comments and now I realize it’s the basketball.
This is what revolutions are made of.
If you need to look for a measure of how you’re doing as a society, this surely is one of them.
The worst movie I ever saw in a cinema was a Milla Jovovic flick called Ultraviolet.
How bad was it, you ask. Well, I would have left the cinema but my girlfriend was sleeping soundly and I didn’t want to disturb her. Honestly, people were just looking at each other after the movie was over, openly laughing and talking to strangers about how bad it was. You could say it was so bad that it brought people together over how awful it was, so that’s nice.
Since I am a Swedish communist and know plenty of them, I feel it might fall on me to say that you are just being ignorant and judgmental. There has been a fair share of naivety in the ranks of the left wing parties in Sweden, but that was much more notable during the 1970’s than it is today. I don’t know any communist or socialist in Sweden that argues in such simplistic terms like “not USA is automatically good”, that’s just an insane claim to make. And while we’re at it, most of the western world seem to agree that “not-Russia is automatically good” with all the head-in-the-sand shit the west is pulling over Ukraine. I believe you are touting prejudice against communists, like so many before you have done. It doesn’t do anyone any good.
No one is trying to shame someone out of finding a purpose, but the deafening propaganda machine has pumped us so full of denial that we need to make these simple points. I think things like this was taken as self evident 50 or so years ago, but today we have to fight to keep our sanity and hold on to what little dignity and hope we have left.
I assume those that just try to make jokes about this doesn’t have kids of their own or try to cover their own pain with sarcasm. The message is important and some people really need to hear it to save themselves from a lot of pain.
I have just shy of 3,500 hours played on Cities Skylines, but I couldn’t keep up with the torrent of DLC’s which made me stop playing it. When they started selling things as DLC’s that moders hade previously released for free I just lost hope, but the modding community was a huge part of why I kept playing as long as I did, and I really hope they are allowed to be a part of it this time around too. Although I fear everything is being commercialized and monetized up the wazoo these days, I will probably have to give it a go eventually.
This is the simplest and most correct way to view this, good comment!
Yeah, funny that people are making it out like corporations don’t pull malicious compliance bull all the time. But now when private citizens does it, it’s so childish and silly. I mean Apple and the stuff they pulled with the USB-C chargers is nothing but ridiculous.
Others have covered a lot, but one thing that have helped me through rough patches is to find something to do. If possible to occupy both body and mind, like exercise, yard work, hiking. Something positive with meaning in and of itself. Time is a friend of broken hearts, and making it pass quicker could just help.
I hope you find a way out and through, we all usually do as the survivors we are.
