Inevitable, the fee instances and the non-free instances tend to sort themselves out and clump together
Yeah I’d assumed something like this was the case until I learned that Part 2 wasn’t done yet, I thought they’d crammed to finish both movies back to back, Peter Jackson’s LOTR style

Oh…wait, what is the bitrate of your file? After doing testing I’ve generally found that anything above 15 Mbps can cause problems over WiFi due to varying conditions unless you live in optimal networking conditions
Are you using raw rips? Those can be huge and might be hard to encode in real time. If you wanna both use raw files and have encoded media, I would make encoded versions beforehand, rather than encoding them on the fly.
Oh hey stux! Nice to see you here!
Yes. I’m now a reformed pirate (no more pirating for me! Save lost media ofc) and I get a similar thrill by removing DRM from my DVD/Blu Ray & iTunes purchases.
Yep! Same! That feature is definitely instrumental in my generally pro free speech position when it comes to Fediverse moderation. Bad actors usually tend to clump together in tight-knit instances.

I’ve messed around with Kbin but the software’s federation features aren’t working that well, so I’m sticking with Lemmy for now.
You’re wrong, moderation and censorship are the same thing. People just call censorship they like “moderation”, and they call moderation that they don’t like “censorship”.
Using Lemmy is fine, don’t be afraid to use Lemmy. We’re just talking about how lemmy.ml’s practices affect Lemmy’s reputation.
I use non-algorithmic RSS feeds nowadays. Used to use Feedly, I’ve since switched to Read You on Android.
