The GOP’s self-styled image as the party of “law and order” has purchase insofar as it contrasts with the Democrats who turned a blind eye to crimes committed by the right people…
And that’s enough fiction for today.

Yeah, “capitalism” is when a the private equity firm buys the farm and now instead of producing enough to live on, or even just "as much as they did last year, now they must show year over year profits… Every year… Forever
Here’s some of those clear definitions
Cambridge Dictionary: “Net neutrality is the idea that Internet providers must treat all content equally.”
Brittanica: "net neutrality, principle that Internet service providers (ISPs) should not discriminate among providers of content."
“Traffic congestion” is the reasoning ISPs use to defend subverting net neutrality, but it still results in certain viewpoints being favored over others. If Spectrum decides to throttle Fox News and not CNN, it doesn’t matter if their reasoning is that Fox News uses more bandwidth, the result is still that the viewpoint that Fox espouses is throttled while that of CNN is not. Sure it’s conjecture that is or will happen, but it is the case that the doctrine of net neutrality is what is standing in opposition to it.
Replace “Netflix” and “Max” with “Substack” and 'Washington Post" and what you wrote absolutely applies to viewpoint.
RFCs are Requests For Comment, published technical documents describing proposed standards.
Two or three fingers?
Yep. I said it then and it’s only become more true that Jan 6th was Trump’s Beer Hall Putsch and we’re set to repeat history.
Thanks for providing the link
I agree that Politico is a rag, but this sounds made up.
How many of them changed their minds when they were told that DJT is, in fact, over the age of 75?
What do you think Biden will be able to on court reform without a supermajority in the House and Senate?
The court reform announcement is entirely an aspirational effort. “Just think what we could do if you get out and vote.”
I think that, like it or not, the legal landscape today is what we have to contend with this election cycle.
This would be awesome. Give Harris a two hour uninterrupted prime time spot to let the former prosecutor make a case against electing a convicted felon and follow it with 2 hours of the oldest candidate in US history rambling. 😆
The show follows the book series faithfully through the first six books. The loose ends tie into the story arch of the last three books. But I think they ended the show at a really good place because the last arch takes a turn toward the “fantastic” which is still good but feels very different from the rest.
Honestly, the whole first season can be a bit of a slog. It doesn’t really pick up until the storylines converge which is like episode 8.
But, it absolutely pays off with the rest of the series.
Play up her former DA status. This year the election is between Law and Lawlessness.
Harris: “I would be happy to prosecute the case against the felon in the next debate, let’s just see if he shows up for his court date or if he’s too busy taking bribes from his rich tech bro friends.”
Yep, the Democratic problem is not persuading cultists on the other side, it’s energizing the base.
Now? Biden has been losing in swing state polls since January. The debate was supposed to move the needle in his direction. That’s why all this talk about “oh his debate performance didn’t affect his polling” is so infuriating.
Correct. It didn’t move the needle. He’s still losing. He needs to go.
This will energize his base and he will win the election. It will also mean Republican domination of the House and Senate. The next two years will be a clusterfuck as normal and barriers are demolished and regular people begin to realize they’ve elected fascism. The midterms will begin to look like a blue wave, but then they will point back to moments like this to declare the Democratic party “illegitimate” and remove them from ballot access, if midterm elections happen at all.
This is the end of any semblance of democracy in the US for at least a generation.
A brain surgeon makes money by working on brains and therefore is in the working class; the person that owns the hospital makes money by extracting rents from the brain surgeon and therefore is in the capitalist class.
Upper class and middle class don’t necessarily correspond directly with those terms.
