We could collect some guidance here for people who might be missing their local options: Many credit unions make a small monetary deposit to each of their “customers” each year, to maintain their nonprofit status. Many local farmer’s markets are cooperatives, and the ones that aren’t almost certainly are a great place to find your local food co-op. There’s a very good chance yourl local library (and any museums you’re lucky enough to be near) are nonprofit cooperatives of some kind.
