My friend and I saw it on Wednesday and it was pretty damn good. There were a bunch of jokes poking fun at Fox and Disney.

“Hey, Disney. Can I tell you to suck my dick?”

          “Will it make me money?”

          “Yes, lots of money.”

“Will I have to actually change my practices in a meaningful way?”

          “No”

“Lets do it. Now will you excuse me, I have legal battles to fight with the poors.”

If the boss personally stands to make millions of dollars because I called them a couch fucker then I could easily call them a couch fucker.

We saw the same shit with The Boys. Ohhh what a biting satire of Amazon and the super hero media churning industry! They’re so upset!

If either was saying anything of consequence that actually spoke out against the people cutting their checks then they’d be left on the cutting room floor. I can’t believe people think for even a second these corporate sanctioned “acts of defiance” are in any way legitimate.

These shows/movies say a lot but that specific act is nonsense.

Edit: really and truly people need to take a step back and realize how boardroom influenced these movies are, even if they aren’t driven from the top. Studios don’t throw that kind of cash at a movie and not have a say and most of them really aren’t stupid.

Those jokes are almost as true as companies being thrilled to see you created a new account with them or sad to see you unsubscribe a newsletter.

The goal is to make them money and selling out with no consequence is a cheap way of doing that.

You and your friend just fell for it and its an honest mistake

We didn’t “fall for” anything. It was a good movie and it was like $6 a ticket. Who would have thought that the goal of a movie is to make money? I’M SHOCKED WITH THIS NEW INFORMATION! 😮
