Yeah labels are vague but they’re good at getting a general idea of what you support. For example I don’t label myself much generally, but i just say i’m a libertarian socialist or anarchist. It’s what you believe that actually matters.
The problem with catchphrase labels is that it creates the same problems as the word “God” has for thousands of years.
It encourages people to think less and empowers those who would use this to destroy rationality in groups and use said groups to destroy people for their own agenda.
I’m not *-ist. I don’t do *-ism.
My thoughts don’t depend upon what a certain group of people may/may not consider acceptable.

True, it’s more important to focus on your own beliefs than subscribing to a single ideology.
