This is the kind of stuff that I have to tell my friends “you mean your OS doesn’t just do that for you for free?” I get that some of my power use friends get this level of nice out of Windows and Mac, but they seem to be working a lot harder than I am. (I do contribute to open source, but I’m fully just along for the ride with Gnome. And loving it!)
