I would actually like a clarification of what you meant, because to me it sounded like you think someone’s stance in the Israel-Palestine conflict is many times more defining of left/right than even Universal basic income which is considered by many to be communism.
Well, for one thing, if you support Israel’s genocide, you can’t really also say you support universal income without torturing the definition of universal. For another: yes, I do think whether you support the modern holocaust is many times more definitional than where you think the government should give you UBI.
And finally, UBI is only considered to be communism by people who have no idea what communism is. No actual communist thinks that.
