Can we all stop the in-fighting for a minute and realise how awesome the platform we are on is?

We are forming communities on the realized image of the internet that we were told we would have back in the 80s and 90s.

You can make your own home on the web and have your own niche community, not owned by any corporation, while still being connected to the wider internet.

This feels like something out of a sci-fi movie.

What I’ve seen was Nazis doing Nazi things and some people not reacting as decidedly antifascist as other people would have liked.

Meanwhile, over on my home instance, I have been pleasantly shocked by the near absolute lack of nazis.

I mean, I feel like the system was built precisely to hinder nazis, provided other instances do their job.

Obviously this is going to result in a parallel nazi-lemmy just like the old web’s commonplace forum structure allowed the creation of storm front.

        Also terrorist-lemmy, pedo-lemmy, and others.

The admins just need to defederate properly. You need to sign up with a server that aligns with your preferences.

Also, if lemmy takes off it will be labeled as a nazi pedo terrorist app by media and recruitment woll be heavily censored on established websites.
