The Santa Clara-Ivins police in Utah said in a statement that the child “appeared to be emaciated and malnourished, with open wounds and duct tape around the extremities.” Upon searching the home, police said they found Franke’s 10-year-old daughter in the same condition. All of Franke’s four minor children were placed into state care, according to police.

That’s really disturbing. Never heard of this demon but hopefully she rots in jail.

This is starting to become common for Mormons, child abuse cases are skyrocketing in Utah as a result.

Hasn’t this sort of absolute deference to parental authority always been a tenet of LDS beliefs?

Like the religion was literally founded on grooming young girls.

Content Warning: discussion of porn and coercion.

I looked at xvideos, as one does, and on the front page were a couple of videos of “mormon women” or a similar title. The premise seems to be that “teen women” are in trouble or something, and they are meeting an elder who then of course has sex with them. But there’s a really icky non consensual theme, the woman performers play up looking upset and shocked.

Similarly the series about shoplifters, where the (again teen) women have stolen from a store and are coerced into fucking the security guard to prevent the police being called.

It did not used to be like that. Sure, I’m grandpa Simpson yelling at a cloud, but this coercive and nonconsensual content is really yuck. And what’s the deal with step-porn?!? They got everything now, step aunts, step granddad, etc etc. I think I even saw one that had a roommate’s stepmom or something equally meaningless.

At least kink.com bondage or gangbang stuff has the performers discuss how they felt afterwards, showing that this indeed wasn’t real.

I guess I’m too old for porn now.

Now of course, those are fantasy situations and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with porn existing that plays into fantasies that would be unethical if done IRL, so long as the actors consent to it and all that. HOWEVER, the fact that these fantasies exist and are widespread enough to have lots of videos produces about them is a pretty telling sign about the environment the Mormon church creates. Indeed, the system of pastors meeting with minors alone to discuss their personal sexual health is a vector for abuse. And given the church’s history and founding, it probably is intentional

It aint just Mormon church, all religious institutions appear to enable access to children for pedophiles and society let’s that.

People are worried about kids doing sleep overs, when their sky daddy rep is fucking the kids… fucking clowns.

Yeah exactly. I wish people weren’t making porn of a horrific situation like that.

I hate to tell you this but the “mormon women” on xvideos is just fantasy/scripted/acting.

Scary. With all the attention that drag queens / trans received earlier in the year, I wish they spent that energy on the various religious groups instead.

The child abuse numbers among these groups is off the charts but it’s easier to attack minority groups that the large organizations with local government and law enforcement backing.

Beyond that the much higher than the national average coming out of the Dakota states should require a national task force to go in there…

I mentioned Mormons, but all religious groups have these extreme cases of child abuse. It’s common in groups that force conformity to a generation that refuses to conform.

That sounds normal for everyone I have met that escaped poor (as in not well off) LDS parents.
