minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink1•5 months agoMetaphors aren’t literal, but they are descriptive. Describing something that doesn’t stop as something that stops is a bad metaphor. “Hair of midnight” is a metaphor, but not one you’d use to describe a blonde. This isn’t complex.
A flawed one - because life doesn’t stop in an emergency… You know - the thing people were saying.

Metaphors aren’t literal, but they are descriptive. Describing something that doesn’t stop as something that stops is a bad metaphor.
