minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink1•2 months agoBy that chart, 1MB read from an SSD is only 4 times slower than 1MB read from RAM. Wouldn’t have to be an order of magnitude improvement to have an important affect there.
Since this is from 12 years ago, have any of these numbers changed much? Especially the SSD numbers.
