I’ve been walking up feeling terrible this past week. I thought I was catching a cold. But never had temp or exhaustion like I normally do with a cold.

I’ve flushed my eyes with water multiple times this week thinking that I keep getting something stuck in there. Now I think it’s part of the allergies and sneezing that I’m experiencing.

Well that makes sense now. I had a feeling my allergies have been particularly bad over the last few days, even while indoors. I’ve been having to take Claritin when usually I just power through.

TL;DR for those who hate clickbait:

KRON4 meteorologist Dave Spahr said the cause of the out-of-the-park reactions is twofold. First is the recent weather: late-season rains followed by bright sun. “Everything is growing like crazy,” he said.

The second piece is that the atmosphere is not flushing out the high pollen counts produced by the combination of heavy rain and shining sun. “We’ve had local winds but not synoptic ones,” he said, referring to regional winds that create more movement. Fog alone, Spahr explained, is not enough to sweep the environment free of allergens.
