The oddest thing to me was: even Bronies. Even Bronies have/had a Nazi problem.

        I present, ‘Aryanne’:

Most furries are very anti fascist. And most of us have jobs in aerospace , IT or other stem fields.

I think; if you dig deep enough in any larger fandom, you are bound to find some neo-nazis. A very loud minority of bronies painted a very large target on the rest of us with these beliefs. Especially because the outrage-fueled media ran off with a half cocked story again…

I still haven’t found out whether Aryanne was originally created as a joke or not. Unfortunately it’s hard for a brony to really-really hate a cute fictional pone like that, and there are a couple of great stories with her as a character (on the bad guy’s team of course).

I of course hate nazis with a passion, but nazi characters in fiction can be a useful vehicle for storytelling under the right circumstances.

A couple of nazis coincidentally being fans of a specific franchise does not constitute a “nazi-problem” within said fandom, in my opinion. I’m pretty sure bronies were quick to shun said individuals. It would only be a “nazi-problem” if that belief was a common trend in the group…

I always found it mind-boggling how some neo-nazis, could somehow identify with a show based around friendship and inclusion. There is some cognitive dissonance there…

That anecdote is true, but it’s also a bad comparison. You can’t really kick someone out of the internet… Or really stop them from claiming association. And like I said they were shunned after their beliefs became clear…

Yeah maybe it’s changed recently with the growth in popularity but as someone who’s gone to raves and festivals for well over a decade it’s always been one of the most welcoming cultures.

I know the more major festivals have gotten less so over the years but it’s more just generic assholes not Nazis.

This is why every anti-nazi protest needs to have everyone armed. Those bastards won’t show their faces around people who can and will fight back.

Protests in general should be heavily armed and (more importantly) well organized. Whether it’s the Nazis or the cops (insert ‘same picture’ meme here), they’re scared of an actual fight

Yeah but the cops have been scared of a real fight forever. They’re cowards who like to attack people who can’t or won’t fight back, but shy away from anything where they might meet organized resistance; the Black Panthers proved it, long before I was even born

      My list is pretty short:

Nazis. Propagandists. Billionaires that affect society for their own benefit. People who hurt kids

Really it could just be two:

Propagandists and people who hurt kids.

Billionaires have no power without propaganda and Nazis aren’t made without propaganda.

Similar situation with punk. There are still Nazi Punks, but they’re asking for trouble at most gigs or areas with that sort of influence. From Dead Kennedys to Chumba Wamba, folks make it known these days they’re not welcome. Shame about the few bands here and there still spreading the rhetorics, yet barking dogs will always be heard in the distance…

I was at a party in college & a young lady was having a not so great night. She passed out, horked up what apparently looked like Alice Springs Chicken from Outback, & one of her sorority sisters had drawn a swastika on her forehead.

My roommate & I knew where she lived. So I went to grab puke-a-potomous, she went to get her car.

By the time I got back to puke-a-potomous on the couch, someone had turned the swastika into a very crudely drawn Windows logo.

Now I kinda wanna see some NaziPunk get pinned down at a concert, while someone converts his offensive tattoos into corporate logos.
