My friend hasn’t used any of his other systems since buying a Steam Deck. He loves the system. What’s weird is that I’ve been trying to get him to switch to Arch Linux for his PC for years, but he keeps complaining that he won’t be able to play games on it. I’ve told him that Steam Deck uses Arch, but he still thinks it’s going to be a huge hassle.
Setting up Linux is a pain for most distros from my experience, Steam deck makes things easy in comparison. I personally run Linux Mint as it’s easier to setup and run.
I’m biased because I enjoy installing operating systems, but I think that distros like Mint and Pop are actually easier to install than Windows is these days.
