too bad lemmy doesn’t have exclusively good content, like the gold standard set by the rest of the internet.

Just had a post deleted because a mod didn’t like it, I didn’t think we were there yet.

The amount of “bad” posts has gone up dramatically in just the past few weeks IMO. And I’m pretty certain a lot more people have started adding spelling and grammatical errors in their titles to “get more interaction” as they do everywhere else. It’s often pretty clear if it was done on purpose, especially since you can edit titles here and the vast majority of the time OP ignores any comment pointing out the errors. I’m now feeling the same here as I did before I left reddit, just tired of all the bullshit and feeling less and less enthusiastic about trying to be part of the community.

There are a few people that I’m certain are just spamming nonsense posts for attention. It’s especially bad in political communities but even externally there’s no reason some people need to ask 5 variations of the same question over the course of 2 hours.

I’ve started being able to recognize if a post is going to be stupid based on who’s putting it up and honestly I really should just block them.

        Agree w the question variations.

Although I will say that this being a smaller community has helped me w doom scrolling. I usually spend an hour or less on lemmy bc of that repetitive content.
