We, humans, have a whole lot of resilience and solidarity.

I rather have some hope, even as adversity hits us in the face. It’s a decision. Not. to. fall. in. despair. Else, you risk playing into the counterproductive game that doesn’t move the needle at all.

My own solidarity may not save the world by its own. But it can help my neighbors survive one more day, week, or month. That’s a step. Better than nothing. I value that.

We’re miserable because this system forces us to participate in our own destruction. We’re miserable because we know deep down that we’re in trouble, that we have to adapt, but we’re still expected to froth lattes for assholes, all the way up until the moment a wildfire or a flood engulfs our neighborhood.

Finally someone besides fucken me says it. I get downvotes even here for saying its too late. We’re all going to get fucked and have to find a way to salvage something afterwards and everyone downvotes me. But its true, none of these chuckle fucks will give up a single dime of their hoards even in the face of The End. So buckle up, because our governments will be asking nicely until the fires burn the north, the oceans engulf the south, and the hurricanes consume whatever is left.

It won’t be some grand apocalyptic The End like you’re envisioning. It will just be mass starvation and natural catastrophes and food/water wars and everyone but the super rich will suffer for it.

Nothing will change until rich ppl start dying and then it’ll be handouts to the rich to compensate for losses.

When money is worthless, their only commodity will be promises, and that won’t fill our belly.
