pati na rin sa local TV, especially GMA.

    And radio.

Have to remind myself that one’s irritant maybe another person’s sense (and quality level) of humor.

Yeah, and due to how prevalent (or my perception of it being prevalent) it is in stuff aimed towards Filipinos, I have this feeling that my own sensibilities are just not in tune with the rest of the country’s.

This is soo me. Most of the time, I read articles from AP News (or global news), or whatever marereceive ko sa email (from Inquirer o sa Viber notifications), and watch film/pop culture analysis videos from overseas. Recently I accidentally sent an email to my ex-friend. She replied “English yarn!!” I asked, “anong yarn?” Damn… and I’m 25.

          Hahahaha!‌ Ouch!

But yeah, it really depends on the (online or IRL) company we keep eh.

I think I’m not as bad when it comes to colloquial Filipino and its slang terms, but had I not been with people in touch with those things, I might as well be a foreigner with Filipino blood, who lived all my life in here the Philippines.

I’d never listened to local radio since I subscribed to Spotify a decade ago, until I landed on Apple Music with their free radios (mostly mainstream and featured artists lang naman). Haha

I used to listen to a lot of AM radio in my childhood (lalo na kung “brownout”, lol!), but recently, I’m the same as well. However, in times of disaster (typhoons, earthquakes, or man-made emergencies), I sometimes find myself looking for news coverage through my cellphone’s radio app.

Call me old-fashioned or whatever, but iba pa rin kasi ang feeling nung makakarinig ka ng breaking news reports sa radyo eh.

Other than that, my local radio listening has gone down to almost nil in the past handful of years.

        EDIT:‌ Typos and such.

When my favorite FM radio station (Pure FM, from the province. Literally pure pop songs and sometimes classic pop every 9PM) shut down, dun na ako gradually nawalan ng interes sa radyo.

Ahhh, yeah. Ang saklap nga pag ganyan. And I’m still grieving the loss of NU 108 (not even a rockhead, lol! I just like their programming).

I don’t usually listen to FM radio nowadays, except if I‌ want that “office music” feel at home, in which case I’ll go to 96.3 (DWRK‌ Easy Rock, Metro Manila).
