anyone with NFT in their display name

I hate greedy people – thinking about their greed and avarice makes me want to puke at times.

Also, people who make “I’m not a _____ but…” excuses.

When someone I haven’t talked to for more than a decade suddenly says “Hi” on my DMs. Feel ko it’s going to be Pru-Life, Usana, or something along those lines… and most of the time I’m proven to be right.

People who are really, really, smile-ly and friendly. There’s this overly-saccharine, it’s almost fake, kind of person that I find kinda icky and sets off alarm bells in me.

Kind of like a Stepford smiler but with less overt eeriness, I guess? But I’m kind of referring to that, crossed with the person equivalent of a cake smothered in sugar and fondant.

May maidadagdag lang ako sa sinabi kahapon ni decadentrebel tungkol kay Bong Bong of LRT(that guy is truly ahead of its time), “You pangets bitch, you’re very Indian” this clearly refers to Mutahar, at yung kasunod non is “enkutsada da puti” its just a rambly way of saying “kinutya niya yung maputi”(translated by Trust Me Bro Co.) which refers to PACQ, so Bong Bong of LRT prolly knows that PACQ is innocent we just can’t see it yet with present evidence and legal proceedings, and to what PACQ is enmesh with currently, prolly coax our view of him and judge him subjectively.

Parang ang tagal na since I managed to spend less than ₱100 on a Jolibee meal. But then again, I’m a “upsize fries and drinks, please” kind of person, lol!

I also started on Dr. Stone. Crush ko ba si Senku? I think I’d rather be his apprentice but yes he’s cool.

Rengoku pa din number one 🤩🔥

In fairness to Pinoy content, it’s not just because it’s Pinoy that irritates me, it’s the sound effects they use on top of the irritating humor that they inevitably use.

Maybe it’s some kind of a Pavlovian thing where I’ve associated those sound effects with irritating content, or it is the sound effects pushing what might otherwise be tolerable content past the line and into irritating territory.

Whenever I heard them, I felt like I’m developing myself with misophonia, and this is me tuning up white noise for meditation or whenever I’m bored.

I’m with you on that one. Worthy of special mention is that baby laughter noise that a lot of Pinoy Youtubers use.

I’ve been thinking this is mostly just a socmed thing, but it’s already spread onto local TV (I’ve heard the baby laugh sound effect on Showtime as well).

Yeah, and due to how prevalent (or my perception of it being prevalent) it is in stuff aimed towards Filipinos, I have this feeling that my own sensibilities are just not in tune with the rest of the country’s.

This is soo me. Most of the time, I read articles from AP News (or global news), or whatever marereceive ko sa email (from Inquirer o sa Viber notifications), and watch film/pop culture analysis videos from overseas. Recently I accidentally sent an email to my ex-friend. She replied “English yarn!!” I asked, “anong yarn?” Damn… and I’m 25.

                Hahahaha!‌ Ouch!

But yeah, it really depends on the (online or IRL) company we keep eh.

I think I’m not as bad when it comes to colloquial Filipino and its slang terms, but had I not been with people in touch with those things, I might as well be a foreigner with Filipino blood, who lived all my life in here the Philippines.

I used to listen to a lot of AM radio in my childhood (lalo na kung “brownout”, lol!), but recently, I’m the same as well. However, in times of disaster (typhoons, earthquakes, or man-made emergencies), I sometimes find myself looking for news coverage through my cellphone’s radio app.

Call me old-fashioned or whatever, but iba pa rin kasi ang feeling nung makakarinig ka ng breaking news reports sa radyo eh.

Other than that, my local radio listening has gone down to almost nil in the past handful of years.

              EDIT:‌ Typos and such.

When my favorite FM radio station (Pure FM, from the province. Literally pure pop songs and sometimes classic pop every 9PM) shut down, dun na ako gradually nawalan ng interes sa radyo.

I don’t usually listen to FM radio nowadays, except if I‌ want that “office music” feel at home, in which case I’ll go to 96.3 (DWRK‌ Easy Rock, Metro Manila).

Konti lang pinoy content na kaya ko matiis, and mostly because they speak English - mga house tours, si Slater, Jessica Lee, Caco of AutoDeal.

Si Oliver Austria lang ata okay na mostly Filipino gamit, but I stopped years ago kasi nagiging cringey na yung self-aware tito jokes.

the concerns using 3rd party for saving your login credential is kinda risky. since a possible leak may occur at may mga service provider na nagkaroon na ng ganung sitwasyon

for me I just use Firefox sync

The authentication key is transmitted to the server to prove that you own the account. If TLS fails, this might cause the authentication key to be leaked, and someone who intercepts this key could use it to authenticate into your account. However, they can’t use it to access your Firefox Sync data since the encryption key is used to encrypt your data before it leaves your device. This key is never transmitted to the server, so it can’t be leaked if TLS fails.

As far as I am aware, for KeePassXC, the database file is handled locally and it’s your responsibility where you’d store your password database file. This password database file is encrypted (when using a master password) and so personally, I’m comfortable putting a synchronized copy onto cloud storage (which also makes it easier syncing across the PC and my mobile devices).

I assume that this is true for KeePass as well, though I‌ be wrong.

          From the KeePassXC FAQ:

Why is there no cloud synchronization feature built into KeePassXC?

Cloud synchronization with Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, ownCloud, Nextcloud etc. can be easily accomplished by simply storing your KeePassXC database inside your shared cloud folder and letting your desktop synchronization client do the rest. We prefer this approach, because it is simple, not tied to a specific cloud provider and keeps the complexity of our code low.

and from a different section of the same FAQ:

If you sync your database via a cloud provider (Dropbox, Google Drive, Nextcloud, …), you should only sync the KDBX file and distribute the key file to your computers by different means, such as said thumb drive.

          And from their user guide:

The database file that is protected with a strong and long password is secure and encrypted while stored on your computer or cloud storage service.

‌ You can safely store your database file in the cloud (OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive, Nextcloud, Syncthing, etc.). The database file is always fully encrypted; unencrypted data is never written to disk and is never accessible to your cloud storage provider. We recommend using a storage service that keeps automatic backups (version history) of your database file in the event of corruption or accidental deletion.

I also use a key file to make sure that I’m only accessing my password database on devices I own (to which I copy the key file manually).

Well, I suppose there’s still some danger, in which case, I think a fully-local syncing solution (something mediated through Syncthing, I guess) can be set up. To be honest, I could have gone that route, but I didn’t bother. I just felt safe enough to store my password database on the cloud, trusting that it’s sufficiently secured via encryption (and that I have a secure enough master password).

    Gusto kong magchamporado bukas.
