So Biden is generally opposed to the death penalty, but made a few exceptions. Kind of interesting to see where someone draws the line of what is punishable by death and what isn’t. Objectively, all of these people are horrible, but three of them are so horrible that they should be killed. It kind of seems like it’s not really a philosophical opposition to the death penalty but a slight shift in the line.
It’s a serious situation, but I can’t help but imagine the three others guys like “bruh, seriously!?”
Dylan roof points at the guy who raped and then murdered two young girls like “really?! That guy gets to live?”
Now who is really punished by that action; the 37 people who are forced to continue living or the three, who will eventually end the suffering prematurely?
It is a philosophical question and there are different perspectives.
