    Honestly we should’ve been able to run a wet paper bag against Trump and win. But backing down 4 months before the election was the most cowardly tail tucking thing they did. If he was gonna back down it should’ve been from the beginning.

      Step 2 of that mistake was not holding an open primary to, at least, try to simulate an actual primary. 2 out of the last 3 dem potus nods have been all out coronation. The only outlier was biden who gave strong signals that his presidency would be a single term “return to normalcy”.

      I know you’re way more prescient than anyone else, but for all we know there are other reasons he stepped down when he did. What should he have done if for example he was diagnosed with stage 2 cancer of some kind?

      The democrats fucked up in many ways but it’s kinda gauche to be here claiming you knew everything that would happen and anyone who challenged you was an idiot.
